Exceptional teachers

Our extraordinary staff are all qualified as Child Development Assistants, Workers, or Supervisors, and all are required to be First Aid Certified. We feature a child/staff ratio that fosters learning and building relationships.

Continuous improvement

We are committed to providing each and every child that comes through our door with a safe and fun environment. Our staff attend various Professional Development Seminars and Conferences each year.

Dynamic community

Child-centered programming

The staff at S.O.K.O. are constantly reviewing, changing, and implementing new strategies for program planning. Children are actively engaged in the day to day planning of activities often instigated by their interests at the time, and the time of year involved. Programming strives to be individually appropriate, as well as appealing to the majority of the children involved.

Community excellence

S.O.K.O. operates out of the Silver Springs Community Center and we abide by the Community Association's objective "to enhance and enrich the quality of community for Silver Springs residents." We work closely with out neighborhood schools to co-ordinate our schedules. We value the community-school relationship because it allows us to provide the best care possible for the children in our program.
